LED Downlights
SEA is currently able to replace existing halogen downlight fittings with new energy efficient LED downlights from as little as $30.00 per light supplied and installed (conditions apply).
Do you know the advantages of LED downlights?
Power consumption - A 50w 240v halogen down light can be replaced by a 9w LED light whilst producing better light. That’s a power saving of 40w per light or 80%.
$ Savings - Replacing 10 x 50w 240v halogen downlights with 9w LED down lights could save you up to $300.00 a year (calculations are based on 8hrs use a day at a tariff charge of 28c per KWh as per manufactures website)
Lamp replacement - LED down light life expectancy is up to 50,000 hrs before replacement. This means if you used your lights 8 hours a day every day it should be 17 years before the need for replacement. No more changing out light bulbs :)
Heat/Fire hazard - Halogen down lights can produce significant amount of heat and are a known fire hazard if installed incorrectly or surrounded by ceiling insulation. LED downlights produce far less heat and the down lights we use at SEA have an IC-4 rating. This means they are able to be covered in ceiling insulation without the risk of fire hazard.
Light - Most halogen downlight lamps distribute light at about a 40 degree angle, LED downlights supplied by SEA distribute light at an 90 degree angle and not only provide light to a larger area but are brighter also.
Colour - Available in warm, natural or cool white it’s your choice.
Dimmable - LED downlights currently supplied by SEA are dimmable
4 year Warranty - LED downlights currently supplied by SEA come with a 4 year warranty
